Third Person Sword Combat- Unreal 5 - Portfólio
A downloadable Purgatory of Swords
This is a project initially thought to be just part of my portfolio, but nothing prevents me from being able to finish it in the future...
I named this project "Purgatory of Swords", it's a hack'n slash game with references in Rogue Like games. The idea is for me to have a prototype of a game where the player faces hordes and hordes of monsters, improving over time and breaking records of time, damage, eliminations, etc. It will be a singleplayer game, but with an online ranked system.
All assets used were purchased or received for free on the Epic Store.
All programming was using Blueprint.
Developed Character systems:
- Attack Combo System: Sequential attack systems.
- Dodge: Dodge in all directions.
- Block Attack.
- FootSteps Sounds by floor Type.
- BlendSpaces and Animation Blueprint for animations.
- Char Class / Char Select HUD:
- Toggle Combat Mode: This system makes the character have a mode in combat and a mode out of combat, changing animations and possibilities of uses:
- Ik Foot Placement:

Map development:
- Epic Games Assets designed to have an environment with oriental references (Lowpoli Style Asia Environment & Lowpoli Style Deluxe 2 - Trop)
- Map developed thought to be closed, and of a sufficient size to favor the combat of the hordes.
